College Basketball Predictions: Alabama State vs. Cincinnati 11/27/17

Alabama St. vs. Cincinnati Pick

Can No. 12 Cincinnati possibly cover an overwhelming spread when the Bearcats take on Alabama State tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Cincinnati is heavily favored in this game, as the Bearcats are getting odds of -41 points against Alabama State. The over/under total for this contest has yet to be set. Tonight’s game takes place from BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

Cincinnati is coming off a 78-53 win over Wyoming last week to improve to 6-0 on the season. The Bearcats are 3-1 against the spread so far this season. Cincinnati is putting up 88.7 points per game this year while allowing only 58.3 points per contest. Gary Clark is leading the Bearcats with 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Jarron Cumberland is adding 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest.

Alabama State is off to an 0-6 start to the season, playing in just one lined game. That was a 114-56 loss at Oregon. The Hornets are putting up just 65.3 points per game while allowing 94 points per contest. Reginald Gee is putting up 14.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season to lead the team while Jacoby Ross is adding 9.2 points per game.

Bet on Alabama State vs. Cincinnati

These two last met in 2011, with Cincinnati picking up a 65-40 win in a non-lined game. Alabama State certainly doesn’t offer a lot to be excited about, as the team shoots under 40 percent from the field. However, Cincinnati isn’t known for being a real offensive juggernaut either. The Bearcats are more defensive minded. It’s hard for me to pick any team to win by 42 points, especially a Cincinnati team that doesn’t have a lot of wins by this kind of margin. The public betting is siding with Cincinnati, but I am going to take the points.
