This 12 team tournament will be contested over four days, starting on Thursday and running through Sunday. The Top 4 seeds have a bye into Friday’s quarterfinals. All games will be played from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

According to oddsmakers, Ohio State is the slight favorite to win this year’s championship with 3/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Michigan State (12/5), Michigan (4/1), and Indiana (4/1).

Ohio State is the No. 3 seed in the tournament despite earning a share of the regular season title with a 13-5 conference record. The Buckeyes were 25-6 overall this season. The Buckeyes have won the tournament three times and have a 17-8 all-time record in the event. Ohio State has won the last two tournaments.

Michigan State is the No. 1 seed after also going 13-5 in conference play. The Spartans were 24-7 overall this year. The Spartans have won two championships, but the last came in 2000. MSU’s record in this tournament is 15-12.

Michigan is the No. 2 seed in the tournament after also going 13-5 in Big Ten play. The Wolverines are 23-8 overall. Michigan won the inaugural 1998 title, but later had to vacate it. Michigan is 7-12 all-time in this tournament.

Indiana is the No. 5 seed. The Hoosiers were 11-7 in conference play and 24-7 overall. Indiana has never won this tournament and the Hoosiers are just 8-14 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament.
