Southeast Regional Odds
(TheSpread) – The Southeast Regional looks to be considered a two-horse race in terms of who will win, but the field has plenty of dark horse teams to consider. Here is a look at the odds for this region.
View Current College Basketball Odds
The Southeast has two clear favorites according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog.com as Pittsburgh is the favorite with 8/5 odds and Florida comes in with 7/2 odds.
Pittsburgh won the Big East regular season title and went 27-5 on the season. The Panthers have only been to one Final Four in program history, which came way back in 1941.
Florida won the SEC regular season title with a 26-7 record. The Gators have been to four Final Fours in history, the last of which came in 2007, when it won its second-straight national title. The Gators are the No. 2 seed in the region.
While the region may lack star power, there are a number of potential bracket busters in the region as three teams with a double-digit seed have 25/1 odds or less. A two-time defending regional champion, Michigan State, has 25/1 odds as the No. 10 seed while No. 11 seed Gonzaga and No. 12 seed Utah State both come in with 20/1 odds. Team with their seeding in other regions are coming in with closer to 100/1 odds to win.
