These two teams will battle it out in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. Cornell is the No. 12 seed while Kentucky is the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have made Kentucky 8.5-point favorites over Cornell on Thursday night. The over/under for the game has been set at 147.

Kentucky is looking to reach its 32nd Elite Eight in program history and first since 2005. The Wildcats are winners of their last seven games including tournament wins over East Tennessee State and Wake Forest. Both wins were by at least 29 points, including a 90-60 win over the Demon Deacons. Kentucky shot 60 percent from the field in the win while holding Wake Forest to 32 percent shooting. Darius Miller had 20 points and nine rebounds in the win while DeMarcus Cousins had 20 points and nine rebounds and John Wall had 14 points and seven assists.

Cornell is looking to make its first Elite Eight appearance in school history. Cornell has won its last nine games with the Big Red defeating Temple 78-65 and Wisconsin 87-69. Cornell shot 61 percent from the floor in the game while out-rebounding the Badgers 27-20. Louis Dale had 26 points in the win while Ryan Wittman had 24 points for the Big Red.

Kentucky may look to be the best team in the tournament, but Cornell certainly has opened a lot of eyes. With the Big Red able to shoot so well from the field and get high percentage shots, they should give Kentucky a scare. With the 8.5-point spread, we suggest going with the Big Red in this game and the over, in what should be a high scoring contest.
