The game between Michigan State and Butler takes place today at 6:07PM ET from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have given MSU’s Raymar Morgan an over/under of 12 points in today’s game.
The senior forward averages 11.5 points per-game for Michigan State. In four tournament games, Morgan has passed the 12-point mark two times, scoring 13 points against Tennessee while scoring 17 against Maryland. In the last five games where Morgan has surpassed 12 points, he has taken at least 11 shots in the contest. The key for Morgan in this game will be on the number of touches and shot attempts he gets. With Butler being a stingy defense, Morgan will have to be willing to play physical and be a post presence for the Spartans. Morgan has scored more than 12 points in 16 games during the season.
Butler’s Gordon Hayward has been given an over/under of 4.5 for total 3-point field goal attempts. The sophomore guard/forward averages 15.5 points for the Bulldogs on the year while shooting 29.5 percent from beyond the arc. Hayward averages 4.3 3-point attempts per-game on the season and he has shot less than 4.5 3-pointers in his last three games and in five of his last six contests. Michigan State has struggled defending from the perimeter as their opponents shoot 33 percent from 3-point land while hitting 6.8 3-pointers per-game.
