Duke ended its drought of Final Four appearances by reaching Indianapolis this year, now can the Blue Devils end their drought of not winning the national title?

With more wins than any other Final Four team at 33-5 the Blue Devils are the lone No. 1 seed to reach Indianapolis in this year’s tournament and have emerged as the favorites to win the national title. The championship would be the first since 2001 for the storied program.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given Duke 5/4 odds to win the Final Four.

The Blue Devils have won their last eight games and 16 of their last 17. Five of their last eight wins have come by double figures and the Blue Devils have scored at least 70 points in five of those contests.

Duke averages 77.4 points per-game on offense and gives up just 61.1 points per-game on defense. The Blue Devils shoot 43.8 percent from the field and 38 percent from 3-points land and 76 percent from the free throw line. The Blue Devils hold opponents to just 40 percent shooting, including 27.8 percent from 3-point land.

Duke has been led this season by a trio of players. Jon Scheyer averages 18.2 points and 4.8 assists for the Blue Devils while Kyle Singler adds 17.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per-game. Nolan Smith also adds 17.4 points and 1.2 steals per-game.

The 2010 Final Four will take place from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The semifinals will take place on Saturday while the national championship game will take place on Monday night.
