MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Chicago’s Tyrus Thomas left Sunday night’s game at Minnesota with a sprained right ankle, but returned in the fourth quarter.
Thomas, averaging 8.4 points per game for the Bulls, was injured at the 8:35 mark of the third quarter after getting tangled with Minnesota’s Craig Smith while going for a loose ball. He lay on the floor grimacing for several minutes while being attended to by a trainer.
Thomas eventually was helped to his feet and walked off the court while being assisted. He returned to the game with about 6 minutes remaining.
