Lakers vs. Jazz Prediction
The struggling Lakers are double digit underdogs on Thursday night in Utah where they’ll take on the Jazz at 10:00 p.m. ET. Are the Lakers worth a flier at the window or is there a better bet when it comes to this matchup?
589 Los Angeles Lakers (+13) at 590 Utah Jazz (-13); o/u 225
10:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, March 31, 2022
Venue: Vivint Arena, Salt Lake City, UT
Los Angeles Lakers DFS Notes
Anthony Davis (right mid-foot sprain) is being listed as doubtful for Thursday’s matchup with the Jazz. Chris B. Haynes of Yahoo Sports already stated that AD is targeting a return for Friday’s game against the Pelicans or Sunday’s meeting with the Nuggets, so seeing him play tomorrow would be rather shocking. LeBron James (ankle) has already been ruled out, so it’ll be Russell Westbrook running the show with Malik Monk being their best offensive weapon. Monk being the Lakers’ best player on the court with seven games left on their schedule tells us a lot about how their season is going.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Mike Conley shot 7-of-13 from the field and 1-of-1 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 121-115 loss to the Clippers, scoring 19 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes. Conley has now shot at least 50% from the field in three straight and four of his last five, and the 19 points are the most that he’s scored in a game since March 14. However, over the last two weeks he’s ranked just outside of the top-150 in 9-cat formats. And one of the reasons why has been the foul line, as Conley’s made just 62.5% of his attempts. However, when you’re averaging just under three attempts per game, it isn’t difficult for a bad night (he was 2-of-5 on Sunday) to drag down that percentage.
Lakers vs. Jazz NBA Betting Prediction
The Lakers are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games against the Jazz, who are winless against the number in their last five games overall. The Jazz are also 0-4 against the spread in their last four games playing on one day of rest, are 7-21-2 at the window in their last 30 games following an ATS loss and are 3-9-1 against the number in their last 13 games when their opponent scored 100 points or more in its previous game.
