Donovan Mitchell went off for 36 points on 11-of-21 shooting (7-of-12 3-pointers) to go with eight rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 37 minutes as the Jazz beat the Knicks on Sunday night. Mitchell came out hot in this one and scored 18 points in the first half. He played 17 minutes in the frame and shot 5-of-10 from the floor with three triples as the Jazz took a seven-point lead into the break. He kept it going in the second half, putting up another 18 and the Jazz were able to pick up their third-straight win. The Jazz will get the other NYC team, the Brooklyn Nets on night two of a back-to-back on Monday.
Brooklyn Nets DFS Notes
Kevin Durant scored 38 points on 11-of-15 shooting (14-of-15 free throws) to go with six rebounds, six assists, two triples, one block, and eight turnovers in Friday’s win over Portland. Durant came out hot, on Friday, scoring 22 points in the first half on 7-of-9 shooting. The Nets still trailed by 13 at the break, but if it wasn’t for Durant, it would have been much, much worse. He then came out and scored 12 points in the third quarter to give him 34 before they even got to the fourth. Brooklyn survived what could have been a bad loss, and they will now get Utah on Monday.
Jazz vs. Nets NBA Betting Prediction
The Jazz are 19-7 against the spread in their last 26 games against the Nets and have covered in five of their last seven games in Brooklyn. They’re also 3-1-1 against the number in their last five games overall and are 3-1-1 at the window in their last five games as a favorite.
