Donovan Mitchell had 26 points, seven assists, three rebounds, one steal, four triples and six turnovers in a 107-101 loss to Charlotte on Friday. Mitchell had scored 30 or more points in four straight games coming into Friday, but his Jazz have now lost three straight and were coming off a blowout loss to the Celtics. “It shows us how committed we have to be to the way we play in order to have success,” Utah coach Quin Snyder said. With the Jazz fighting for a top-4 seed, their matchup vs. Dallas on Sunday will be must-see TV.
Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes
Luka Doncic returned from a day of rest to score 24 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists, one steal and five triples in a 116-95 loss to Minnesota on Friday. The Mavericks are in a battle with the Warriors, Jazz and Nuggets for playoff seeding in the West, but that doesn’t mean Luka will be safe from more maintenance days. Dallas’ next back-to-back set begins on Tuesday at home vs. the Lakers followed by an away game vs. Cleveland on Wednesday, but we can be certain that he’ll get a healthy workload vs. the Jazz to close out this week in a pivotal matchup. Luka is also on a technical foul watch, as he’s just one tech away from an automatic one-game suspension.
