Team spokesman Dustin Krugel told The Associated Press on Sunday that Wallace has agreed to a multiyear extension. Terms weren’t immediately available.
The move gives the team some continuity among its leadership. Head coach Lionel Hollins signed a three-year contract with the team in April.
Wallace, also the team’s vice president of operations, was present at the team’s pre-draft workout Sunday. Among the six players auditioning for the Grizzlies were Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson and West Virginia forward Devin Ebanks.
The Grizzlies have the 12th, 25th and 28th picks in the first round of Thursday’s draft.
