Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness) is being listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup with the Grizzlies, and Khris Middleton (left wrist soreness) is probable to play. While Giannis has missed just one game with the knee soreness, Middleton has missed a pair of them, but he seems more likely to play than the Greek Freak given the tag alone. If Giannis can’t play, it will be an approach by committee regarding who steps up, and a lot of eyes will be on Bobby Portis given he double-doubled on Thursday to break out of his funk.
Memphis Grizzlies DFS Notes
Jaren Jackson Jr accounted for 20 points, two rebounds, two blocks, one assist and a steal in Thursday’s easy win over Indiana. Much like Memphis’ other starters, JJJ’s final stat line was held in check due to the blowout nature of the game, though his numbers were impressive given his limited time on the court. He averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 triples, 3.0 blocks and 1.0 steals across four games prior to Thursday’s comfortable win, and he added more blocks to his burgeoning season total. Jackson Jr now has 166 blocks, which is three shy of Pau Gasol’s single-season record set back in 01-02.
