Johnson vs. Busch Odds
LONG POND, PA (TheSpread) – Jimmie Johnson started as a favorite to win the Good Sam RV Insurance 500 on Sunday, but now he has longer odds than a handful of drivers, including Kurt Busch.
According to oddsmakers Busch has odds of -135 to finish ahead of Johnson in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Johnson comes into the matchup with a money line of -105.
On Sunday, Busch will start fifth on the grid while Johnson qualified 18th. On the season, Johnson sits second in the point standings, 11 out of first. Johnson has one win and seven top 5’s to his credit. Busch is sixth in the point standings. He has one win and four top 5’s on the year.
At Pocono Raceway, Busch has two victories and eight top 5’s. His average finish at this track is 16.1 while his driver rating is 104.1, which ranks third in the series. Johnson has two victories at Pocono as well, with seven top 5’s. Johnson’s average finish at Pocono is 9.3 and his driver rating is 106.4, second-best of any driver.
