ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays catcher Curt Casali left Tuesday night’s game against the Minnesota Twins after appearing to injure himself rounding the bases after a home run.
Casali seemed to take an awkward step near first base after his 10th home run in the fifth inning. He slowly finished his trip around the bases with a slight limp before heading toward the clubhouse.
Rene Rivera replaced Casali.
There was no immediate update on Casali’s status.
