WASHINGTON, D.C. (ATS Consultants) – The Phillies have struggled to start the season but with Cole Hamels on the hill tonight, they could be a nice value for bettors when they play the Nationals at 7:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Nationals are -131 money line favorites versus the Phillies, who are +121 money line underdogs. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 6.5 runs.
Hamels is 15-8 against Washington in his career with a 2.59 ERA in 33 starts. Washington’s bats woke up some in Boston, but that was in a small park against weak pitching. They are back home against a tough lefty starter and that’s not a good sign for the Nats, who are hitting just .190 against left-handers. Washington has lost five of seven games.
