Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Bryce Elder allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Marlins. Elder battled major control issues in this one, handing out a whopping six free passes and failing to complete five frames. He managed to limit the Marlins to just a pair of runs in the fifth inning, courtesy of an RBI double from Avísail García and an RBI single by Garrett Cooper. The 22-year-old righty has held his own in his first taste of the majors, posting a respectable 4.30 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 11/11 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings (three starts). He’ll face off against the Rangers on Saturday in his next outing.
Texas Rangers DFS Spin
Dane Dunning didn’t qualify for a decision, but allowed just two runs over 5 2/3 innings against the Astros on Monday. Dunning gave up a solo homer to Yordan Álvarez in the second, and was charged with another run in the sixth on a Kyle Tucker single. Outside of that, the former first-round pick was very strong with five strikeouts and just a walk in the contest. Dunning has talent and has had some success, but fantasy managers shouldn’t count on him at this point in his young career as more than a streamer. It’d be very risky to trust him against the Braves over the weekend.

The Braves are still just 1-4 in their last five road games against Texas and are 2-5 in their last seven games against the Rangers overall. Atlanta is also just 3-7 in its last 10 games versus a right-handed starter. The Rangers, meanwhile, are 5-2 in their last seven games as an underdog and are 15-6 in their last 21 games versus National League East opponents.
