CHURCHILL DOWNS (The Spread) – The 2014 Kentucky Derby will run this Saturday and with that, let’s take a look at the latest odds.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, California Chrome is a 13/5 favorite to win this year’s Kentucky Derby, while Wicked Strong has the next-best odds at 13/2. Danza is 9/1, Hoppertunity is 12/1 and Samraat is 16/1. Dance With Fate is also 20/1, as are Intense Holiday, Ride On Curlin, Vicar’s in Trouble and Wildcat Red, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, Candy Boy is 25/1 to win the 2014 Kentucky Derby while Tapiture is 28/1 and Chitu, General a Rod and Social Inclusion are all 33/1, respectively. Commanding Curve, Medal Count, Uncle Sigh and We Miss Artie are all 40/1, respectively, while the current long shots are Harry’s Holliday, Pablo Del Monte and Vinceremos at 50/1, respectively.

California Chrome has won his last four straight races, including the Grade I Santa Anita Derby, the Grade 2 San Felipe, the California Cup Derby and the King Glorious Stakes. He also won the Graduation in July of last year and a MSW on June 17 of 2013.

Wicked Strong also won his last race, capturing first at the Grade 1 Wood Memorial after finishing fourth at an Allowance on February 22. He also finished a disappointing ninth in the Grade 2 Holy Bull in January and placed third in the Grade 2 Remsen on November 30 of last year.
