Tigers’ Guillen leaves game with lower back spasms

DETROIT (AP) -Tigers’ third baseman Carlos Guillen left the game against the Oakland Athletics after seven innings Friday night because of lower back spasms.
Guillen came into the game hitting .286 with nine homers and 53 RBIs. The 11-year veteran is a career .290 hitter. He was 1-for-3 before leaving, increasing his hitting streak to six games.
He was listed as day-to-day.
