St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Albert Pujols popped career home run No. 680 as part of a three-hit night Tuesday as the Cardinals edged the Royals. Nolan Arenado started the scoring with a two-run blast with two outs in the bottom of the first inning, then Pujols promptly made it back-to-back by depositing the first pitch he saw from Daniel Lynch into the seats in left field. It drew a curtain call from the fans at Busch Stadium, and Pujols also treated them to a couple of singles and another run scored. The plan calls for Pujols to start mainly against lefties, but after a big night he is expected to be in there versus right-hander Zack Greinke on Wednesday.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS Spin
Rowdy Tellez delivered a two-run double in the top of the ninth to propel the Brewers to a 4-2 win over the Orioles on Wednesday. It was Tellez’s second double of the game. He was making his first start of the year against a lefty tonight, as his usual platoonmate, Keston Hiura, got the nod over Kolten Wong at second. Tellez will be limited to starts against righties for the most part, which will probably prevent him from being of much use in shallow leagues. He’s likely to be quite productive, though.
