PITTSBURGH (AP) Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi wasted little time putting his own stamp on the program.
The Panthers went 8-5 in their first season under Narduzzi, which ended with a 44-28 loss to Navy in the Military Bowl on Monday. Pitt finished second in the ACC’s Coastal Division after being picked to finish sixth in the preseason.
Narduzzi credited the team’s dozen seniors for helping change the culture in the locker room. The seniors praised Narduzzi for creating a family atmosphere.
Pitt will have several holes to fill before next season, particularly at wide receiver if Tyler Boyd leaves for the NFL. Senior center Artie Rowell says the Panthers are in good hands with Narduzzi regardless of who is in uniform.
