NEW YORK (AP) – Carmelo Anthony says “it takes a certain kind of person to deal with New York City” and he believes he’s one of them.
Prior to playing his first game Wednesday night, the newly acquired Knicks forward said that after all he’s been through in his career, “it’s easy” to handle the pressures of New York.
Anthony said: “Is it going to be a lot of expectations? Yes, but I’m ready to accept all the challenges.”
He is making his debut against the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks picked up Anthony on Tuesday in a three-team, 13-player deal with Denver and Minnesota.
