UFC on FOX 2 Weigh-In Results
CHICAGO, IL (TheSpread) – The weigh-ins for UFC On FOX 2 have concluded and all the participating fighters were cleared for combat on Saturday.
UFC On FOX 2 takes place Saturday night and the main card will air live on FOX at 8PM ET. The event takes place from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The main event is a light heavyweight contest with Rashad Evans (16-1-1) taking on Phil Davis (9-0).
According to oddsmakers, Evans is the slight favorite to win this contest, coming in with a money line of -170 while Davis has odds of +140 to win. Both fighters weighed in at 205 pounds on Friday before facing off. Davis sported a Penn State singlet in support of his former university, which drew some applause. When the two faced off, they had an intense stare down. Evans looked grumpy while Davis had a slight smile that seemed to anger Evans even more.
In the co-main event, middleweights Chael Sonnen (26-11-1) and Michael Bisping (22-3) both came in at 185 pounds for their fight on Saturday. The oddsmakers see Sonnen as the clear favorite in this one, with odds of -450, while Bisping has a money line of +350 to win. These two are fighting on a few weeks notice as each had different opponents leading up to the fight but an injury to Mark Munoz forced the UFC to shuffle the card. After the weigh in, the two got nose-to-nose and mumbled things to one another before being separated.
