BALTIMORE, MD (TheSpread) – The 2014 ALCS moves on to Game 2 this afternoon. Here is a look at the odds for this contest.
Game 2 of the ALCS has the Baltimore Orioles hosting the Kansas City Royals at 4:05PM ET (View Matchup). The Orioles will have Bud Norris on the mound to face Yordano Ventura of the Royals. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Orioles are favored to win today, as they have odds of -120 to prevail, while the Royals have been given a money line of +110 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7.5 runs.
The Royals took Game 1 of the series on Friday night, winning 8-6 in 10 innings. The Royals have won a number of extra-inning games this postseason and have now claimed three straight wins over the Orioles. The Royals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the third, but the Orioles rallied to tie the game at 5-5 after 6. The scoring ended until the 10th, with Kansas City tacked on three runs thanks to Alex Gordon and Mike Moustakas home runs. Baltimore scored a single run in the bottom of the inning, but couldn’t find two more. Ventura has faced the Orioles’ lineup twice this season, with KC going 1-1 in those games. Norris has pitched against Kansas City one time this year, with the Orioles taking a 1-0 loss.
