Tampa Bay looks to get off to a 2-0 start in the 2010-11 NHL Season as the Lightning heads to Montreal for a 7:30PM ET game with the Canadiens on Wednesday.
Tampa Bay enters the game at 1-0-0 having won 5-3 in its season opener while the Canadiens are 1-1-0 on the season with tonight marking their first home game of the season.
Montreal leads the all-time series 31-24 in games placed since 1996, but the two teams have split 28 games in Montreal during that time.

Trends favor Tampa Bay in this contest as the Lightning is 4-0 in their last four games overall and also 4-0 in their last four games against the Eastern Conference.
Montreal, on the other hand, is just 1-5 in their last six after a win and 1-4 in their last five as a favorite. They have also won just 2 of their last 7 against the East.
I know this is Montreal’s home opener, but I like a pick of Tampa Bay in this game as the Lightning should be a little fresher and also have a bigger payout without being a longshot.
