Tuesday’s NHL Prediction
Tuesday’s schedule for the National Hockey League features one of the great rivalries in the game of hockey as Detroit hosts Colorado.
Tonight’s game drops the puck at 7:30PM ET with the Red Wings 2-0-0 on the season and the Avalanche coming in at 1-1-0, including 0-1-0 on the road.
Craig Anderson has been in net in both games for the Avalanche this season and he has a 2.95 goals against average through the two games with a .920 save percentage.
For the Red Wings, Jimmy Howard and Chris Osgood has each had one win. Howard hasn’t allowed a goal while Osgood gave up two goals to Chicago with a .929 save percentage.
Here is a look at the trends and my pick for this contest.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Detroit Red Wings, 7:30PM ET
The road team is 7-3 in the last 10 games in this series and Colorado is 10-4 in their last 14 games against the Central Division.
The Red Wings are just 3-7 in their last 10 games when playing on two days of rest and in a game that is as unpredictable as hockey, we don’t feel good about betting on the Wings with such a high money line.
