Two of the best hockey teams in Canada meet on Saturday when Montreal hosts Ottawa at 7PM ET.
Montreal is 2-1-1 on the season with an even goals scored/allowed differential of 10-to-10 while Ottawa is 1-2-1 on the year having scored seven goals and allowed 12.
Montreal is playing in just its second home game on the year while the Senators are seeking their first road victory of the year.
Here is a look at the trends and my pick for Saturday night’s game.
Ottawa Senators vs. Montreal Canadiens, 7PM ET
The Senators have won four of the last six games against the Canadiens in Montreal and won seven of the last 12 games overall.
Trends do not back in Montreal as they are just 1-4 in their last five games overall and 1-5 in their last six against the Northeast Division.
