(TheSpread) – The 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs are down to four teams in the Eastern Conference, and Washington is still the favorite to walk out with the conference title.

The Capitals have 11/10 odds to win the conference according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. Other short odds to win the East are Philadelphia (3/1), Boston (3/1), and Tampa Bay (7/2).

The Capitals are the No. 1 seed in the East and they defeated the New York Rangers in five games in the opening round. Washington posted 13 goals in the series while giving up eight goals. Washington now faces Tampa Bay in the second round.

Philadelphia is the No. 2 seed in the East and the Flyers got past Buffalo in seven games in the opening round. Philadelphia scored 22 goals in the series while giving up 18. The Flyers will now face the Bruins in the second round.

Boston is the No. 3 seed in the East and the Bruins got past Montreal in seven games to win their first round series. Boston scored 17 goals in the series while the Canadiens posted 17 as well.

Tampa Bay is the No. 5 seed in the East and it upset Pittsburgh in the first round in seven games. The Lightning were down 3-1 in the series but won three straight to advance. Tampa scored 22 goals in the series while giving up just 14.
