Eastern Conference Finals Odds
(TheSpread) – The Eastern Conference is down to its final two teams as Boston and Tampa Bay will battle it out for a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com the Bruins are the favorites to advance with 2/3 odds while the Lightning have 13/10 odds to win the Eastern Conference.
The Bruins will have the home-ice advantage in the series as they are the No. 3 seed. Home ice hasn’t meant too much as half of the series in the East have been won by the higher seed. Boston reached the finals by defeated No. 6 Montreal in seven games in the opening round and then disposing of No. 2 Philadelphia in a sweep in the conference semifinals. Boston has been led by center Patrice Bergeron, who has 12 points for the playoffs while Brad Marchand has scored five goals.
Tampa Bay is the No. 5 seed in the East. The Lightning opened the playoffs by upsetting No. 4 Pittsburgh in seven games. In the conference semifinals, Tampa Bay had a major upset by beating top-seeded Washington in a sweep. Tampa Bay has been led by Martin St. Louis, who has a league-high 13 points in the playoffs along with six goals. Vincent Lecavalier and Steve Downie have each scored 12 points for Tampa as well.
