Chicago wins the Cup
The Chicago Blackhawks ended a 49-year drought on Thursday night by winning their first Stanley Cup since 1961.

Chicago completed a 4-2 series win over the Philadelphia Flyers in the Stanley Cup Finals, winning Game 6 4-3 in overtime.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, Chicago had 5/1 odds to win the Stanley Cup, meaning a $100 bet on Chicago will pay out $500.
Chicago was never in a game where it could be eliminated as it ran through the playoffs, defeating Nashville in six games in the opening round and then beating Vancouver in six games to reach the Western Conference finals.
In the conference finals, the Blackhawks made quick work of San Jose, sweeping the Sharks. That made way for the Cup Finals, where Chicago found itself tied 2-2 through four games before winning Games 5 and 6 to get the Cup.
Chicago captain Jonathan Toews won the Conn Smythe Trophy for being the MVP of the Stanley Cup Finals. Toews had 1/6 odds to win the award coming in.
