LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) – Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is finding that he likes standing upright.
Chicago’s offensive line provided Cutler with a sack-free game Monday in Philadelphia for only the second time since he arrived from Denver in 2009.
The revamped line is possibly the biggest reason the offense has improved to 17th overall and 10th in scoring. It has allowed only three sacks the past three games.
Cutler even finds himself not wanting to jinx the change by trying not to think about it. Having receiver Earl Bennett back, and a game plan aimed at getting rid of the ball faster has also helped keep Cutler’s “feet clean,” as he likes to say.
