NFL Week 14 Survivor Pool Predictions Recap
My three survivor pool recommendations for Week 14 were the Vikings over the Falcons, the Eagles over the Panthers and the Bucs over the Raiders. While Philadelphia was a sweat, Minnesota wasn’t by the time the game got into the fourth quarter and Tampa Bay handled its business versus Las Vegas. Thus, we were able to survive Week 14 with a 3-0 week.
NFL Week 15 Survivor Pool Prediction: Baltimore Ravens, 1:00 p.m. ET
Might as well start with the layup. The Ravens had two weeks to sit on their loss to the Eagles and I’m sure they’re stewing. They’re a 16.5-point favorite against the Giants, who haven’t won a game since beating the Seahawks on October 5. Drew Lock nearly “led” the Giants to an upset win last Sunday against the Saints, but their comeback hopes went for naught when a potential game-winning field goal was missed.
The Ravens aren’t as good defensively as they were a year ago and they have an ugly loss to the Raiders on their resume. That said, there’s no reason to believe that they’ll stumble in East Rutherford. If you still haven’t burned the Ravens in your survivor pool, there’s no better week.
NFL Week 15 Survivor Pool Prediction: Washington Commanders, 1:00 p.m. ET
With the Rams’ win over the 49ers on Thursday Night Football, there’s added pressure on the Commanders to beat the banged-up Saints on Sunday. At 8-5, Washington currently holds the seventh and last seed in the NFC, but Los Angeles is right behind the Commanders at 8-6. While they did drop three straight, Washington went into its bye following a 42-19 dismantling of the Titans in Week 13. Now rested and facing a Derek Carr-less Saints squad, the Commanders should emerge victorious in New Orleans.
NFL Week 15 Survivor Pool Prediction: Atlanta Falcons, 8:30 p.m. ET
I don’t trust the Falcons as far as I can throw ‘em, but there aren’t many great options in Week 15. The Falcons have lost four straight games and should have benched the ineffective, turnover-prone Kirk Cousins for rookie Michael Penix Jr. this week. Instead, head coach Raheem Morris kept his trailer hitched firmly to Cousins.
That said, the Falcons coughed up their lead in the division to the Bucs. If Tampa Bay loses to the Chargers on Sunday, Atlanta could reclaim first place in the NFC South with a win over the Raiders on Monday. If the Bucs beat the Chargers, then the Falcons still need a win badly to stay within arm’s reach of Tampa. Other way, the Falcons need a win and they might face former QB Desmond Ridder, who could draw the start for the injured Aidan O’Connell.
The Raiders have lost nine straight games. It’s now or never for the Falcons.
