Game Preview:

Both of these teams are 0-2 on the year, which isn’t surprising in the case of the Lions but certainly is with the Vikings. Brett Favre has really struggled without having Sidney Rice (hip) in the lineup and he’s having a hard time getting on the same page as second-year wideout Percy Harvin. Minnesota’s defense has been lights out for the first two weeks, but Favre and the offense has held the team back.

On the other side, the Lions have been competitive the past two weeks and have also covered the spread in their first two outings. Shaun Hill will once again start in place of the injured Matthew Stafford (shoulder) and attempt to figure out the stingy Minnesota defense. Rookie Jahvid Best had a great game last weekend and will certainly be counted on again this Sunday, although the Vikings have always been known for their stout run defense.

Line Movement & Updated Odds:

The Vikings opened as an 11-point favorite and oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com currently have the Vikes listed at –11. The over/under total is currently 42.5 after opening at 42 points.
