Falcons vs. Giants Free Pick
Will the Falcons win back-to-back games when they visit the Giants at 1:00PM ET today?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Giants are now 2.5-point home favorites over the Falcons after opening as 2-point favorites. As for the total, it currently sits at 51 after opening at that same number.
Even though Chip Kelly’s offense eventually got rolling in the second half on Monday night, Atlanta’s revamped defense looked remarkably better thanks to the construction of new head coach Dan Quinn. Newcomers Vic Beasley, O’Brien Schofield, Adrian Clayborn, Justin Durant and Grady Jarrett made their presence felt, while safeties William Moore and Ricardo Allen had interceptions in the victory.
When lined up to his side, underrated cornerback Desmond Trufant should challenge Odell Beckham Jr., which will make life difficult on Eli Manning (who didn’t take any deep shots in a loss to the Cowboys). On the other side, the Falcons’ offensive line is a work in progress but the Giants’ lack of pass rush should provide Matt Ryan ample time to connect with Julio Jones, who was uncoverable in Monday night’s victory over the Eagles.
Despite losing last season on the road, the Falcons are still 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Giants in East Rutherford. The road team also had plenty of success in this matchup, covering in eight of the last 11 meetings.
