The Chiefs will receive a boost defensively today when they visit the Texans at 1:00PM ET.
Defensive tackle Dontari Poe is listed as probable for today’s game versus Houston, which is huge for a Kansas City team that shouldn’t have much issue slowing down an Arian Foster-less Texans offense. Alfred Blue and Brian Hoyer are likely to struggle to move the ball versus the Chiefs, who also boast outstanding pass-rushers in Justin Houston and Tamba Hali.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Chiefs are 1.5-point road underdogs versus the Texans while the over/under total is sitting at 40.5 points after opening at 42.
The road team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams while Alex Smith and the Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games in September.
