Raiders vs. Patriots Odds
FOXBOROUGH, MA (The Spread) – The New England Patriots should have an easy time at home this Sunday when it hosts the Oakland Raiders at 1PM ET on CBS.
New England is 1-1 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and playing in its home opener. Oakland is 0-2 on the season, 0-1 on the road and 1-1 against the spread. These two have split the over/under total in their two games. The Patriots have won three straight meetings with the Raiders.

According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, New England is favored at home, as the Patriots are getting odds of -14 points against the Raiders. The over/under total for the game has been set at 47 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Patriots favored by 15.5 points. It climbed up to 16 points before making the fall back to 14. The over/under total opened at 46.5 points and then quickly climbed to 47.
Following a 33-20 loss to Miami, New England got back to its winning ways last week, dominating Minnesota for a 30-7 victory. The Patriots had just 292 yards of offense in the win, but the defense held Minnesota to only 217 yards while forcing four turnovers and returning a blocked field goal for a touchdown. Tom Brady was just 14 of 21 passing for 149 yards and one touchdown to lead the offense while Stevan Ridley added 101 rushing yards and one score.
Oakland hasn’t had much to be excited about so far. The Raiders are 0-2, scoring just 14 points in each game. Oakland’s offense is near the worst in the league, totaling just 261 yards per game. The defense is allowing 364.5 yards per game, ranking last in the NFL in rush defense by allowing 200 yards per game on the ground. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr has thrown for 414 yards and three touchdowns to lead the offense. He is also leading the team in rushing with 57 yards. James Jones has caught 12 passes for 146 yards and two scores.
In terms of Injuries, New England linebacker Jamie Collins (thigh) and center Ryan Wendell (knee) are both questionable. Oakland running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hand) and receiver Rod Streater (hip) are both questionable as well.
