ATLANTA, GA (TheSpread) – The Atlanta Falcons host the Green Bay Packers in what should be a competitive matchup in the 2011 NFL Divisional Playoffs on Saturday night.

The Falcons are 13-3 on the season and 7-1 at home while the Packers are 11-6 on the year and 4-5 on the road. Trends show that Green Bay is just 1-5 against the spread in the last 6 games against the Falcons while Atlanta is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a win.

Opening odds had the Falcons favored by just 1 points, but the spread has quickly climbed up throughout the week and now closed at 2.5. The over/under total opened at 45.5 points but that has steadily dipped and is now down to 43.

Turner has rushed for 1,371 yards and 12 scores on the season while Matt Ryan has thrown for 3,705 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Green Bay is 10-7 against the point spread odds this season and the Packers have hit the under in 11 of 17 games. Green Bay beat Philadelphia 21-16 last week to meet the top-seeded Falcons this week. Green Bay has won its last three, but lost their last three road games in the regular season. The Packers are averaging 24.3 points per game on offense while the defense is among the best in the league, allowing 15 points per game. Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 3,922 yards and 28 touchdowns to lead the team and he threw for over 300 yards against Atlanta in the previous meeting. Rookie running back James Starks rushed for 123 yards in last week’s win and has emerged as a feature back for the team.

In terms of injuries, Green bay linebacker Frank Zombo is doubtful with a knee injury while Atlanta defensive back Brian Williams is questionable with a knee injury.
