CHICAGO, IL (TheSpread) – The opening game of Championship Sunday is the 2011 NFC Championship between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

The Bears are 12-5 on the year and 6-3 at home while the Packers are 12-6 on the year and 5-5 in road games. Trends show that Green Bay is 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 games in Chicago but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 playoff games as a favorite.

Opening odds had the Packers favored by 3 points and the spread has since climbed to 3.5 points. The over/under total opened at 44 points and has since dropped back to 43 points.

The Packers have split the season series with the Bears, losing 20-17 in Chicago in week 3 and beating the Bears 10-3 at home in week 17. Aaron Rodgers has led the team with 3,922 passing yards and 28 touchdowns on the season and in the playoffs, he has thrown for 546 yards and 6 touchdowns with no interceptions.

In terms of injuries, Green bay linebacker Frank Zombo is out for the game due to a knee injury while Chicago appears to be pretty healthy with defensive back Chris Harris is probable with a hip injury.
