The Patriots had the top record in the NFL last season, going 14-2 and winning the AFC East. The Pats lost their first playoff game though, which made for a disappointing season. Miami was 7-9 last season and missed the playoffs by 4 games. The Patriots have won four of the last five meetings in this series.

In terms of Injuries, New England running backs Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen are questionable with leg injuries while Miami running back Daniel Thomas is questionable with a hamstring injury.
