PITTSBURGH, PA (TheSpread) – The New York Jets look to run the table and upset another AFC power as it takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2011 AFC Championship.

The Steelers are 13-4 on the season and 6-4 at home while the Jets are 13-5 on the season and 8-2 in road games. Trends show that the Jets have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 meetings with the Steelers and the under has hit in 5 of the last 7 games between these two teams.

Opening odds had the Steelers favored by 3 points and the odds moved up to 3.5 mid-week. The over/under total opened at 39 points and held there most of the week before falling back to 38.5 to close.

The Jets are 11-7 against the point spread odds this season and have went over the point total in 13 of 18 games. The Jets already own a win at Pittsburgh as they beat the Steelers 22-17 in Week 15. In the win over Baltimore, Big Ben had 226 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Roethlisberger hasn’t thrown an interceptions in his last five games.

In terms of injuries, New York return man Brad Smith will play after missing last week’s game with a groin injury while Pittsburgh defensive end Aaron Smith is out because of a tricep injury.
