It seems like Brett Favre is getting new injuries each week, but the cagey veteran looks to extend his starting streak and carry the Minnesota Vikings to a win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

The Vikings are just 2-5 on the season, but they are 2-1 at home while Arizona is 3-4 on the year and 1-3 on the road. The underdog is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Minnesota a 7.5-point favorite against the Cardinals on Sunday. The over/under has been set at 41.

Opening odds had Minnesota favored by 8 points and the spread climbed to 9 during the week before settling back at 7.5. The over/under opened at 41 and dipped down to 40 throughout the week before closing at 41.

The Vikings have had an interesting week as after a 28-18 loss to New England last Sunday, the team cut Randy Moss just weeks after trading for him. Now, Minnesota looks to end a two-game losing streak. The Vikings have lost all five of their games by 10 points or less but the offense has yet to eclipse 24 points in a single game. Brett Favre has thrown for 1,450 yards and seven touchdowns this year, but also has 11 interceptions. Adrian Peterson has rushed for 776 yards and six touchdowns while Chad Greenway has 74 tackles to lead the defense.

Arizona has lost its last two games and the Cardinals have committed to Derek Anderson as their quarterback once again. The Cardinals have given up 38 points in three of their four losses this season. Anderson has thrown for 980 yards and four touchdowns this season and also has seven interceptions. Larry Fitzgerald is having a quiet year, as he has just 35 catches for 403 yards and four scores. Paris Lenon has 54 tackles and a sack to lead the defense while Joey Porter has added three sacks.

Favre is listed as probable for the game despite a fractured ankle and 8 stitches in his chin from a hit he took against the Patriots. Receiver Sidney Rice has begun working out with the team but is still far from returning from his hip injury. Arizona running back Beanie Wells is probable for Sunday with a knee injury, as is receiver Steve Breaston.

Just under 17,000 public bets have been placed on this game with Arizona getting 51% of the wagers at +7.5 against Minnesota.
