Jets vs. Lions Odds
The Detroit Lions are hoping to put together a winning streak on Sunday when they host the New York Jets.
The Lions are 2-5 on the season and 2-1 at home while the Jets are 5-2 on the season and 3-0 on the road. Detroit is 4-0 ATS in its last four games overall, while the Jets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games in November.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made the Jets a 4.5-point favorite against the Lions on Sunday. The over/under has been set at 42.5.
The Jets opened as just a 3.5-point favorite to begin the week but the spread has quickly moved up and was as high as 5 before settling in at 4.5. The over/under point total opened at 43.5 and dropped down to 42 before adding a hook to get to 42.5.
The Lions are coming off a 37-25 win over Washington last week where it played its first game with Matthew Stafford since returning from injury. The Lions have scored at least 32 points in all three home games this season. Stafford has thrown for 295 yards and four touchdowns on the year in just two games of action while Calvin Johnson has 38 catches for 538 yards and eight touchdowns. Louis Delmas has 46 tackles and two sacks to lead the defense while rookie Ndamukong Suh has 27 tackles and seven sacks.
The Jets are coming off a 9-0 loss to Green Bay last week. The Jets have been held to 9 points or less in both losses this season. Mark Sanchez has thrown for 1,356 yards and nine touchdowns this season while LaDainian Tomlinson has rushed for 536 yards and five scores. David Harris is leading the Jets defense with 49 tackles while Shaun Ellis has 20 tackles and four sacks.
Detroit defensive back C.C. Brown is out for Sunday’s game because of a knee injury while Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is considered probable to play as he continues to battle a hamstring injury.
Over 23,000 public bets have been placed on Sunday’s game and the Jets are getting 76% of the wagers at -4.5 against the Lions.
