Seahawks vs. Bears Odds
The Chicago Bears managed to win without Jay Cutler last week but now the Bears get their quarterback back to take on Seattle at 1PM ET in Week 6.
Chicago is 4-1 this season and 2-0 at home while Seattle is 2-2 on the year and 0-2 on the road. Chicago has won four of the last six meetings with the Seahawks including two of the last three in Chicago.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Chicago a 6-point favorite at home against the Seahawks. The over/under has been set at 37.5.
The opening spread had Chicago favored by 7.5 points. The odds have adjusted a lot over the week before hitting its lowest point at 6. The over/under point total opened at 37.5 and was as low as 37 before moving back to 37.5.
The Bears are got a big lift last week, beating Carolina on the road despite having Cutler miss the game. Matt Forte picked up the slack, rushing for 166 yards on 22 carries as Todd Collins threw for just 32 yards with four interceptions. The Chicago defense also stepped up, holding the Panthers to six points on 147 yards.
Seattle has alternated wins and losses through four weeks but is coming off a bye. Seattle has given up at least 20 points in both road games while scoring just 17 points combined. Seattle did recently trade for Marshawn Lynch at running back, which could give the offense a boost. Matt Hasselbeck has thrown for just 814 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions on the season.
The trends back Chicago in this game as the bears are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games while the Seahawks are 0-7 ATS in their last seven on grass and 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 against a team with a winning record.
Chicago linebacker Lance Briggs is doubtful for Sunday’s game as he has an ankle injury while Seattle tackle Russell Okung is questionable with an ankle injury and cornerback Marcus Trufant is also questionable with an ankle issue.
Over 13,000 bets have been made on this game with 75% of the wagers being made on Chicago -6 against Seattle.
