Bet Lions vs. Giants Odds

The Lions are 1-4 on the season and 0-3 on the road while the Giants are 3-2 on the year and 2-1 at home. Despite struggling on the road the Lions are 3-0 against the spread in New York since 1992.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL have made the Giants a 10-point favorite at home against the Lions on Sunday. The over/under has been set at 44.5.

The opening spread had the Giants as a 10.5-point favorite and the spread was as high as 11 points before dropping down 10. The over/under opened at 44 and climbed up to 44.5.

The Giants are 3-2 after winning their last two games. They have been dominant on defense, especially on the front lines where they have 19 sacks and are holding opponents to just 244.6 yards per game. Justin Tuck has led the way with four sacks and 32 tackles while Osi Umenyiora has six sacks. Eli Manning has played average throwing for 1,302 yards and eight touchdowns but has eight interceptions as well.

The Lions are 1-4 after beating St. Louis 44-6 last weekend. The Lions have been competitive this season thanks to an offense that averages 25.2 points and 332 yards per game. Shaun Hill has played well in place of the injured Matthew Stafford, as he has thrown for 1,218 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 61 percent of his passes. The Lions will go with Hill again this week but could be without leading receiver Calvin Johnson, who suffered a shoulder injury in last weekโ€™s win.

Trends favor Detroit in this game as the road team is 5-0 against the spread in the last five games of this series and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five games. The Lions are also 4-1 ATS in their last five against the NFC while the Giants are 1-4 ATS in their last five after covering the week before.

Johnson is listed as probable for the game with the shoulder injury while linebacker DeAndre Levy is questionable with a high-ankle sprain. Stafford will sit out again after injuring his shoulder in the season opener. New York kicker Lawrence Tynes is questionable after turning his ankle in practice while defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka will miss Sundayโ€™s game with a neck injury.

Over 17,300 bets have been made on this game with the Giants getting 52% of public wagers at -10 against the Lions.
