Dolphins vs. Packers Odds
The Green Bay Packers are in need of a win in Week 6 as they host the Miami Dolphins at 1PM ET.
Green Bay is 3-2 this season and 2-0 at home while Miami is 2-2 on the year and 2-0 on the road. Miami holds a 3-2 edge in this series over the last five meetings.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Green Bay a 3-point favorite at home against Miami. The over/under has been set at 44.
The opening point spread odds had Green Bay as a 4-point favorite and the spread has slowly worked its way down to -3. The over/under started at 46 but quickly shot down to 44.5 and was as low as 43.5 before finishing in at 44.
The Packers got out to a 2-0 start but have lost two of their last three. Both losses came on the road. Last week, the Packers lost 16-13 to Washington where Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion late in the game. Rodgers is expected to play on Sunday but he has thrown six interceptions on the year. The Packers running game has struggled all season with the loss to Ryan Grant to a season-ending injury. The Packers are averaging just 107 rushing yards per game.
Miami also started 2-0 but has lost its last two prior to the bye week, losing to divisional foes New York and New England. The Dolphins are averaging just 16.5 points per game, but their defense is holding opponents to under 300 yards of offense per game. Chad Henne has thrown for 964 yards and five touchdowns this year, but also has four interceptions. The combination of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are averaging just 100 yards per game on the ground.
Trends favor Green Bay in this game as the Packers are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight after a straight up loss. Miami is just 0-4 ATS in their last four on grass.
Along with Rodgers suffering a concussion last week Green Bay also lost tight end Jermichael Finley for the season with a knee injury while linebacker Clay Matthews is doubtful for Sunday’s game with a thigh injury. Miami tackle Jake Long is probable to play despite a knee issue, as is linebacker Channing Crowder, who has a groin injury.
Only 6,258 public bets have been made on this game and 54% of those wagers are going on Miami +3 against Green Bay.
