Raiders vs. 49ers Odds
San Francisco is still seeking its first win of the 2010-11 NFL Season on Sunday as the 49ers host Oakland at 4:05PM ET.
The Raiders are 2-3 on the season and 0-2 on the road while the 49ers are 0-5 overall and 0-2 at home. The 49ers have won three of the last four meetings in this series.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made San Francisco a 7-point favorite at home against the Raiders. The over/under has been set at 41.5.
The opening point spread odds had San Francisco as a 7.5-point favorite. The line dipped to as low as 6 points during the week before climbing back up to 7. The over/under started at 41 and dropped to 40.5 before rising to 41.5.
The 49ers are 0-5 this season with three losses coming by 3 points or less. The 49ers have been inconsistent on offense as Alex Smith has thrown for 1,229 yards and six touchdowns but also has nine interceptions. Frank Gore has rushed for 322 yards and a touchdown while Vernon Davis has caught 24 passes for 313 yards and two scores.
Oakland is 2-3 on the season with both wins coming at home. The Raiders have scored at least 23 points in their last three games but given up at least 24 in four of their five games. Bruce Gradkowski has thrown for 709 yards and four touchdowns for Oakland while Jason Campbell has thrown for 426 yards and two touchdowns as well. Darren McFadden has rushed for 392 yards in four games of action.
Trends favor San Francisco in this game as the 49ers are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six home games and 7-1-3 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS loss. The Raiders are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven after a straight up win.
Gradkowski is doubtful to play with an arm injury for the Raiders but McFadden is expected to return from a bad hamstring. San Francisco center Eric Heitmann is questionable for the game with a shin injury.
