Falcons vs. Saints Odds

In what should be another great NFC South battle, the New Orleans Saints are favored to beat their division rivals the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Let’s check out the updated odds for this Week 3 matchup.

Game Preview:

The Saints needed a last second field goal to beat the 49ers on Monday night to go to 2-0 on the year, although the victory didn’t come without a price as Reggie Bush (leg) was injured. Bush is expected to miss the next six weeks and seeing as how the Saints’ offense isn’t firing on all cylinders right now, his loss definitely hurts.

That said, the Falcons are well aware of the weapons that Drew Brees has at his disposal, even though Bush won’t play. Matt Ryan and company will look to keep the ball on the ground and limit what Brees and the New Orleans offense can do at home. Michael Turner is expected to play after missing the final three quarters of Atlanta’s 41-7 rout over the Cardinals last weekend. He suffered a groin injury in the early minutes of the second quarter and did not return, although he’s supposed to be healthy enough to play this Sunday.

Line Movement & Updated Odds:

Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com made the Saints a 5.5-point opening favorite, but now the line has dropped all the way down to –3. The over/under total opened at 50 but has since dropped to 49.5.
