Bucs vs. 49ers Free Pick

Thanks in large part to the play of quarterback Troy Smith, the San Francisco 49ers have won two in a row. They’ll look to make it three in a row when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Continue reading for our free pick on this Week 11 free pick.

According to latest NFL Odds, oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the 49ers a 3-point favorite over the Bucs in Week 11. The over/under total for this game is currently 41.5 points.

The Bucs enter Sunday’s game with a 6-3 overall record and have also covered in six of their first nine games. They’re a stellar 3-1 on the road this year and have covered in all four of their games outside of Tampa according to latest NFL trends.

The 49ers have won two in a row but are still just 3-6 overall. They’ve also failed to cover in six of their first nine games and are just 1-3 against the spread at Candlestick Park this season.

Our NFL Week 11 Free Pick:

The Bucs may have the better team but the 49ers are playing with a ton of confidence now that Troy Smith is under center. The Niners can actually get back into the NFC West race if they can continue winning and the home team is 6-0 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams. Mike Singletary’s defense will have to find a way to slow Josh Freeman and Tampa’s improving offense. As long as San Fran finds a way to limit the Bucs’ big-play potential (and they should be able to if rookie Mike Williams doesn’t play due to a DUI), they should earn another victory. Our pick is the 49ers, who are 10-3-2 against the number versus a team with a winning record in their last 15 games.
