Seahawks vs. Saints Odds
The New Orleans Saints are riding a hot streak and they look to add to that when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints are 6-3 on the year and 3-2 at home while Seattle is 5-4 on the season and 2-3 on the road. Trends show that Seattle is just 2-11 against the spread in their last 13 games as a road underdog while the Saints are 4-1 ATS in their last five against a team with a winning record. The under has hit in four of the last five in this series.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made the Saints 11-point favorites at home on Sunday. The over/under total has been set at 44.5. (View Matchup)
Opening odds had New Orleans favored by 12 points and that spread has slowly dropped down to 11. The over/under opened at 44 and has since added a Β½ point to get to 44.5.
The Saints are coming off a bye but they won two straight prior to that and have won three of their last four. The big news for New Orleans this week is that Reggie Bush is expected to play after missing most of the season with a broken leg. He can add to an offense that is already averaging 22.3 points and 369.9 yards per game. The New Orleans defense is holding opponents to just 16.8 points and 277 yards per game, including a league-best 166.7 passing yards per game.
The Seahawks are coming off a 36-18 win over Arizona last week, but they had lost their previous two games by a combined 74-7 prior to that. Inconsistent play has been the problem as Seattleβs offense is averaging just 18.4 points and 286.7 yards per game, including just 86.6 rushing yards per contest. The Seahawks are giving up 22.1 points and 376.9 yards per game, including 272.2 passing yards per game.
In terms of injuries, Seattle could be without receivers Brandon Stokley and Golden Tate as both have leg injuries. New Orleans may get Bush back but running back Pierre Thomas is still doubtful with a knee injury.
Over 37,000 public bets have been placed on Sundayβs game and the Saints are getting 58% of the wagers at -11 against Seattle.
