Packers vs. Seahawks Spread Prediction
In what should be a good matchup between NFC wild card hopefuls, the Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers at 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday night. Will the Seahawks cover as a small home favorite or are the Packers a good value for bettors?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Seahawks are 3-point favorites to beat the Packers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 48 points. As of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets are on the Seahawks to cover the point spread.
Green Bay Packers
Jimmy Graham (knee) was removed from the Week 11 injury report. He’s good to go for Thursday night against his former Seahawks teammates. Graham has experienced sharp valleys and peaks this season but remains an every-week TE1 due to upside and Aaron Rodgers under center.
Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Rashaad Penny may not have much of a Week 11 role. “When everybody’s healthy, not everybody’s going to get the ball,” Carroll said. “That’s just the way it goes. Chris [Carson] is going to be healthy this week.” This throws shade on Penny forcing his way into a timeshare. Penny’s blowup Week 10 has earned him a few more reps after getting buried the last few games, but this is still Carson’s backfield.
NFL Betting Trends
Green Bay
The Packers have covered the spread in four of their last five games played on Thursday.
Seattle
The Seahawks are a near-perfect 7-0-1 against the number in their last eight games played on Thursday.
Prediction
It’s tempting to take Aaron Rodgers as an underdog but the Packers have not been the same team on the road as they have been at Lambeau this season. Green Bay has outscored its opponents by nine points per game and 86 yards per contest at home this year but are getting outscored by 10 points per game on the road. The Seahawks lost a week ago but still gained a whopping 273 yards on the ground. If they can control the ball again tonight with Penny, Chris Carson and Mike Davis while keeping Rodgers on the sidelines, then I feel good about Seattle covering the field goal tonight.
