Availability matters here. Hawaii listed star receiver Pofele Ashlock as questionable on its Thursday report. He was ruled out of the Stanford opener with a knee issue, and the drought happened without him. Neither team is ranked. Dan Mullen is in year two at UNLV after a 10-4 season, while Timmy Chang is in year five at Hawaii off a 9-4 campaign and a Hawaii Bowl win. Hawaii leads the series 19-16, but UNLV has won three straight, including a 38-10 rout in Las Vegas last November.
